A steadfast advocate for the people, Gwen is not a career politician. Instead, her life experiences as a Jefferson County native, working mom, community volunteer, and grassroots coordinator have equipped her with the leadership skills – and knowledge of how government really works – to be the next Colorado State Representative for House District 24. 

As a candidate, Gwen is guided by integrity, transparency, and a deep sense of duty to serve her state and community. She is dedicated to listening to the needs of the people, providing them with a strong voice in the state legislature, and working tirelessly to make Colorado a thriving state again.

Gwen spends a lot of time at the Colorado capitol to follow and understand current legislation, while bringing back reports to her district. Most people don’t realize that there are over 500 new laws passed by both the House and the Senate, and then signed by the Governor every year in Colorado. The average person couldn’t name half of them! 

Arvada and unincorporated Jeffco residents alike are faced with difficult issues that need committed and trustworthy representation. Property taxes, road conditions, car thefts, affordability – all while the size of government grows. We are losing our quality of life in Colorado and people distrust the government more than ever.
